Bamford Oak Table
Introducing an incredible work of art that combines history, beauty, and functionality - the perfect addition to any home or office. The base of this stunning table was cast in iron in the 1930s by the renowned BAMFORD and SONS company. Originally part of a corn grinding machine, this base has been rescued and restored to its former glory.
Henry Bamford's son Cyril went onto start J.C. Bamford (Excavators) Ltd. 'JCB',
Every inch of the base has been painstakingly wire brushed and burnished to create a textured look that's simply stunning. The corners and edges have been sanded and polished to highlight every fine detail, relief, and text, resulting in an incredibly detailed and beautiful piece of ironwork. And to protect and preserve the original beauty of the iron, our special 'Form and Foundry' metal conditioning oil has been used to seal it.
The custom-made table top is equally impressive. Made from original oak beams that are hundreds of years old, reclaimed from a barn in Tewkbury, England, this top is truly one-of-a-kind. The beams have been sawn to size, planed, and sanded to a smooth 350 grit, showcasing the incredible patterns and features of the wood. To ensure that it's safe for food, the top has been finished and sealed with satin OSMO oil.
SIZE
Measuring 2m x 1m, this table is the perfect size for any space, whether you're using it as a dining table or a work surface. And with its combination of beautiful, historic ironwork and stunning reclaimed oak, it's sure to be a conversation starter for years to come. Don't miss out on this unique piece - invest in a table that's built to last for generations.
